In a commanding performance, Hannah Hidalgo led the 19th-ranked Notre Dame women's basketball team to an 83-51 victory over Central Michigan on Monday night. The Fighting Irish star scored 25 points, dished out seven assists, pulled down five rebounds, and swiped six steals, shooting 63% from the field. Hidalgo's impressive display was complemented by KK Bransford and reserve Iyana Moore, who each scored 12 points, while Cassandre Proper chipped in with 11 points and Gisela Sanchez added 10. Despite a relatively low free-throw attempt total, Notre Dame shot 54% from the field and made the most of their opportunities. Central Michigan's Madi Morson led the Chippewas with 15 points, but the Irish's strong start and sustained momentum proved too much for the visitors. Notre Dame outscored Central Michigan 20-8 in the first quarter and never looked back, building a 20-point lead by the end of the third quarter. The win propels Notre Dame into their next matchup against 13th-ranked Ole Miss on December 4, while Central Michigan hosts Purdue on Sunday.
