History Awaits as the India Women's Team prepares for ICC T20 World Cup 2024
The 9th edition of the IIC Women’s T20 World Cup starts from 3rd October -20th October 2024. The venue for the event is in Sharjah, UAE. The first ever ICC women T20 World Cup was played in 2009 at England.
Since then, T20 women is being held in every 2 years. This year there are total of 10 team and 23 matches will be played among them. 2 groups are divided for the matches, India, Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and New Zealand are in Group A and Group B consists of Bangladesh, England, Scotland, South Africa, and West Indies. India is going to play its first match on 4rd of October against New Zealand. The Semi-final 1 will be played on 17 October form 7 pm and Semi-final 2 will be played on 18 oct from 7pm. The final match will be played on 20 October, Sunday.
The Indian women's team is yet to win an ICC title, making this tournament a crucial milestone. With a strong team and determined leadership, Harmanpreet Kaur's team is eager to open India's account in ICC events.
