New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers due to a concussion sustained in last week's loss to the Chicago Bears. As a result, veteran quarterback Jameis Winston will take the starting reins. Winston, 31, signed a two-year, $8 million deal with the Giants in the offseason and has yet to see action this season. The veteran quarterback boasts a strong NFL resume, including a Pro Bowl appearance as a rookie and a league-high 5,109 passing yards in 2019 while playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Giants have also ruled out wide receiver Darius Slayton and linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux, who did not participate in practice throughout the week. Safety Tyler Nubin and defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches are listed as doubtful after failing to practice this week. Linebacker Bobby Okereke is questionable to face the Packers after being limited in practice on Friday. Winston's last game action came in Week 15 of last season, when he played for the Cleveland Browns in a 21-7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He has a 36-51 record as a starter, with 24,225 passing yards, 154 touchdowns, and 111 interceptions in 105 games with the Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, and Browns.
