In preparation for Sunday's face-off against the Baltimore Ravens and their speedy quarterback Lamar Jackson, New York Jets edge rusher Jermaine Johnson is tweaking his routine. Johnson, known for his three sacks and five quarterback hits this season, has been doing extra running and cutting out sugary drinks to shed any excess weight and improve his performance. This strategic decision is a result of Johnson's confidence in his teammates and their ability to get the job done. Johnson, who has been dealing with injuries this season, is slowly getting back to his form and has set his sights on adding to his sack count. In fact, he's looking to get one or two more sacks on Sunday against Jackson, who he previously faced in his NFL debut. Johnson's plan is to stay active, maintain a high motor, and do his job at a high level. He's also drawing inspiration from Myles Garrett's performance against Jackson last Sunday, where Garrett sacked the quarterback five times. Johnson believes that watching Garrett's approach and applying it to his own game can be beneficial. The Jets are also rallying around one of their own, Kris Boyd, who was shot in midtown Manhattan earlier this week. Johnson and several other teammates took to social media to ask for prayers for Boyd, who has started to breathe on his own as he recovers in the hospital. The team's kick returner, Kene Nwangwu, has been added to the injury report with a hamstring ailment, while edge rusher Will McDonald and defensive tackle Harrison Phillips were limited in practice after sitting out Wednesday.
