In a bid to revive their struggling offense, the New York Jets have made a shocking move, benching quarterback Justin Fields in favor of veteran signal-caller Tyrod Taylor. The decision comes after a dismal 27-14 loss to the New England Patriots, where Fields threw for just 116 yards on 15-of-26 passing. The change in leadership will see Taylor, 36, take the reins in Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens. Taylor has shown promise in the past, completing 26 of 36 passes for 197 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in a Week 3 start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Fields, 26, has had a tough season, amassing just 1,259 yards through nine starts, with seven touchdowns and one interception. Despite struggling, the Jets remain committed to their young quarterback, with tight end Jeremy Ruckert expressing his support for Fields, saying, "He's a true professional, and I take it personal when people talk negatively about him.
