The New York Knicks' historic NBA championship win is set to be celebrated with a massive parade in Lower Manhattan, attracting an estimated 4 million fans.

NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch has directed the largest police deployment in New York City history, with over 10,000 officers assigned to the event.

The parade will begin at Battery Park at 10am ET on Thursday and proceed toward City Hall, where a 'Keys to the City' ceremony will be held.

Several street closures and parking restrictions will be implemented, with violators subject to towing.

Authorities have advised fans to use public transportation, though there will be some service disruptions during the event.
