The Los Angeles Kings' remarkable road form has continued, with the team boasting a Western Conference-leading nine victories away from home. As they prepare to face the Anaheim Ducks in the season's first Freeway Faceoff on Friday, the Kings are looking to maintain their impressive record. While their away success has been a highlight of the season, the Kings have struggled at home, but a 2-1 win over the Ottawa Senators on Monday marked an end to their three-game winless streak. The team's confidence is high, thanks in part to the stellar goaltending of Darcy Kuemper, who has improved to 5-1-1 in his last seven games. Forwards Brandt Clarke and Warren Foegele were among the scorers in the win, with Clarke netting his third goal of the season and first in 12 games. The team's top point-scorer, Adrian Kempe, has been held off the scoresheet in four of his last five games. The Ducks, meanwhile, are looking to bounce back from a 5-4 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday. Despite a 3-2-0 record on their current six-game homestand, they have struggled on the road, dropping to 8-3-0 at home this season. Anaheim coach Joel Quenneville emphasized the importance of playing a full 60 minutes, saying every game will be a hard-fought battle. The Ducks' Jackson LaCombe collected a goal and two assists in the loss, while Beckett Sennecke became the second teenager in franchise history to record a five-game point streak, following Oleg Tverdovsky in 1995-96. Sennecke, the third overall pick of the 2024 NHL Draft, has one goal and four assists during the streak.
