Oslo's Deichman Bjorvika public library will host the Norway Chess tournament for the first time, featuring top players including Magnus Carlsen and D Gukesh.
Carlsen, who has won the tournament seven times, will face Gukesh in a highly anticipated match, with the Indian player looking to defend his world championship title.
Other top players participating in the tournament include Javokir Sindarov, Ju Wenjun, and Anna Muzychuk, with India's Koneru Humpy and Divya Deshmukh also in the line-up.
Norway Chess CEO Kjell Madland said the tournament's new venue is a "beautiful" and "important" part of the event's legacy, with the organization planning to run the Total Chess World Championship Tour from 2027.
