Mahindra Racing, the sole Indian team in the electric racing series Formula E, is gearing up for an electrifying new season that starts on December 6 in Sao Paulo. After a remarkable Season 11, Frederic Bertrand, CEO and team principal, is confident that the team can achieve even more in Season 12. Bertrand credits the team's stability for their previous successes, stating that retaining the same team members, including drivers Nyck de Vries and Edoardo Mortara, will be a significant advantage. The team's testing in Valencia was encouraging, but Bertrand acknowledges the challenges of testing, where teams often hide their true potential. Mahindra Racing has a rich history in Formula E, with their best finish being third in the 2016-17 season. However, last season's fourth-place finish, with five podiums, marks a turning point for the team. Bertrand is optimistic that Season 12 could be their best yet, and he hopes to finally achieve a long-overdue win. The upcoming season will be the final one featuring Gen3 cars, with 17 races at 11 different locations. The first race will take place on the Sao Paulo Street Circuit, followed by the final one in London on August 16, 2026. Bertrand's ultimate goal is to stand on the podium, raise the Indian flag, and hear the national anthem – a mission that drives the team to excel. With a renewed sense of determination, Mahindra Racing is poised to make a strong statement in Season 12. As the series progresses to Gen4 vehicles after this season, the team is eager to make the most of their final Gen3 campaign and bring pride to India.
