COLLEGE PARK, Md. - No. 9 Maryland remained unbeaten this season after a convincing 84-62 win over George Mason on Sunday. The Terrapins were led by Oluchi Okananwa's career-high 23 points. Maryland used a strong second half to pull away from the Patriots, outscoring them 47-36 in the third quarter. The Terps never trailed by less than eight points in the second half and had a significant advantage in points off turnovers, 32-15. In a notable return, freshman guard Addi Mack came off the bench to score 12 points in 21 turnover-free minutes after missing the previous game due to a left ankle injury. Maryland's defense stiffened in the second half, limiting George Mason to just 1 of 8 shooting. The Terps improved to 10-0 against the Patriots, who are coming off their first NCAA tournament appearance last season. Zahirah Walton led George Mason with 27 points, but the Patriots struggled with turnovers, committing 21. Maryland has now scored at least 80 points in every game this season and will face No. 20 Kentucky on Wednesday in Puerto Rico, while George Mason will host Rider on Tuesday.
