Mike Vrabel made his first media appearance since stepping away during the NFL Draft amid controversy involving NFL reporter Dianna Russini.

Speaking during a Patriots press conference, Vrabel praised his family and coaching staff, saying "I love Jen [Vrabel], I love the boys" and "These guys go out and find a way to make it better."

When asked about handling distractions around the team, Vrabel avoided engaging with the specifics of the controversy, saying "We all have to deal with things outside of here."

The controversy began in April when photos of Vrabel and Russini holding hands at a resort in Sedona, Arizona were obtained by Page Six.

Both Vrabel and Russini denied any wrongdoing, but the situation escalated quickly, with Russini resigning from her job at The Athletic.

Vrabel stepped away during the NFL Draft to meet his wife for counseling, a decision the NFL publicly voiced support for at the time.
