Nebraska Dominates FIU with Triple-Double and 6 Threes

Nebraska's Rienk Mast made history with his first career triple-double, scoring 18 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, and dishing out 10 assists in a 96-66 rout over Florida International on Saturday. Pryce Sandfort led the Cornhuskers with 20 points, including 6 three-pointers on 9 attempts. Freshman Braden Frager added 15 points, while Connor Essegian and Berke Buyuktuncel chipped in with 13 and 11 points, respectively. The Cornhuskers shot 55% from the field and 51% from beyond the arc, capitalizing on 20 FIU turnovers for 30 points. Hamed Olayinka and Jilian Mackey led the Panthers with 12 points apiece. Nebraska took control early, with a 16-6 lead built on a 9-0 run. Sandfort scored 11 consecutive points, and the Cornhuskers never looked back. Jared Garcia's three-pointer pushed the lead to 71-34 just over five minutes into the second half. Nebraska will host Maryland Eastern-Shore before heading to Oklahoma next Saturday. The Cornhuskers' performance marked a strong start to the season.
