A shocking moment unfolded during the Buffalo Bills vs Houston Texans game at NRG Stadium on Thursday evening. NFL referee Adrian Hill suffered a non-contact injury to his left leg while officiating the match. The incident occurred with 7:29 left in the third quarter, when the Texans were leading 20-16. As Hill started jogging from behind the play, he suddenly began hopping and grabbing at his left leg, unable to put any weight on it. Texans staff members assisted him off the field, and he was carted away. Umpire Roy Ellison took over the referee duties. Hill, a highly experienced official, has worked over 100 matchups as a head referee and has been named Engineer of the Year by the Baltimore chapter of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) in 2006. The injury occurred during a sack on Bills quarterback Josh Allen by Texans defensive end Danielle Hunter. The game ultimately ended with the Houston Texans beating the Buffalo Bills 23-19.
