Patrick Mahomes' recovery from a torn ACL and LCL is progressing well, according to coach Andy Reid. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is expected to take full part in team practices, which could mean he'll be fit for the Week 1 game against the Denver Broncos on September 14.

Mahomes' Instagram post, which featured a clock emoji, has sparked speculation that he'll be back sooner than expected. Reid's comments have added fuel to the fire, suggesting that Mahomes is on track to participate in Phase 3 of the offseason program, which includes contact and offense versus defense.

Last season, Mahomes finished with 3,587 passing yards, 22 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 14 games before his injury prematurely ended the season.
