The Las Vegas Raiders have bolstered their defense by signing linebacker Jamin Davis to their active roster. However, their offensive line has suffered a setback with the placement of right guard Jackson Powers-Johnson on injured reserve. Powers-Johnson, a 22-year-old second-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, suffered an injury during the Raiders' 10-7 loss to the Denver Broncos. Despite being a second-year player, Powers-Johnson had already started seven of eight games this season, following a strong rookie campaign where he made 14 starts in 15 games. Meanwhile, Davis, a 26-year-old linebacker, joins the Raiders after a stint on the practice squad. He was drafted 19th overall by the Washington Commanders in 2021 and went on to start 36 of 50 games, recording 282 tackles, seven sacks, and 21 tackles for loss. After being released by the Commanders, Davis spent time on the practice squads of the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings, where he played four games and recorded four tackles and one sack. In addition to signing Davis, the Raiders have also added kicker Greg Joseph to their practice squad. A 31-year-old veteran, Joseph has played in 75 regular-season games for several teams, including the Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, Vikings, New York Giants, Commanders, and Jets. He has made 116 of 141 field-goal attempts and 157 of 173 extra-point attempts throughout his career.
