American Scottie Scheffler is set to face a challenging test at the U.S. Open in Southampton, New York, as he hunts for a career Grand Slam at the notoriously tricky Shinnecock Hills Golf Club.

World number one Scheffler, who has added PGA Championship and Open Championship titles to his pair of Masters wins last year, will face stiff competition from a range of challengers including Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau.

At a U.S. Open, it's just about dealing with adversity, said Golf Channel commentator Brandel Chamblee, adding that there's a great opportunity for McIlroy, DeChambeau, and Jon Rahm to take the trophy.

The 126th U.S. Open runs from June 18 to 21.
