Jacksonville Jaguars two-way star Travis Hunter suffered a season-ending knee injury, forcing him to undergo surgery to repair the lateral collateral ligament in his right knee. The surgery took place on Tuesday and is expected to keep him sidelined for approximately six months. Hunter had been on a roll before the injury, delivering a standout performance in London, where he caught eight passes for 101 yards and a touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams. His impressive showing had the Jaguars planning to utilize him as their top receiver moving forward. However, the injury may hinder Hunter's growth in the NFL, especially considering the trade Jacksonville made to select him second overall in the draft. The team surrendered a second-round pick in 2025 and a first-rounder in 2026 to swap spots with the Cleveland Browns. In his limited time on the field this season, Hunter played 486 snaps, with 324 coming on offense and 162 on defense. He finished with 28 receptions for 298 yards and a score, as well as 15 tackles and three pass defenses. While Hunter's injury is a setback, the Jaguars remain optimistic about his return for the start of the 2025 season, and he is expected to make a full recovery from the surgery.
