In a dominant display at home, the UConn Huskies secured a 26-16 win over the Air Force Falcons on Saturday. Cam Edwards, the Huskies' star player, made history by rushing for over 1,000 yards this season, with a total of 1,031 yards. Edwards' impressive performance included two touchdowns, with the first coming in the second half on an 8-yard run that capped off a 79-yard drive. The Huskies started both halves with a touchdown, taking a 6-0 lead in the first quarter on a 10-yard run by Joe Fagnano. However, a missed two-point conversion attempt kept the score narrow. UConn added to their lead with a 47-yard field goal by Chris Freeman in the final minute of the second quarter, securing a 9-7 advantage at halftime. The second half saw the Huskies maintain their momentum, with Edwards' second touchdown making it 26-10 with 5.5 minutes remaining. Air Force's Dylan Carson managed to narrow the gap with a 2-yard rushing touchdown, but ultimately, the Huskies secured their 6-0 home record this season, and a 12-1 home record over the past two seasons. The Falcons, on the other hand, were led by Owen Allen's 123 yards rushing and 291 total yards on the ground.
