The United States men's national team has fallen one spot to No. 15 in the latest FIFA rankings, marking its lowest position since the start of the World Cup year. This slight drop comes as Senegal makes a significant leap, jumping seven spots to its all-time high of No. 12. The African nation's impressive rise was fueled by its 1-0 victory over Morocco in the AFCON final, where Pape Gueye scored the decisive goal in extra time. Despite the loss, Morocco climbed three spots to a new all-time high of No. 8, surpassing Belgium, which dropped one spot to No. 9. The top seven teams in the rankings remain unchanged, with Spain, Argentina, France, England, Brazil, Portugal, and the Netherlands holding their positions. The latest poll also sees Morocco's move to No. 8 pushing Belgium to No. 9, Germany to No. 10, and Croatia to No. 11. Senegal's No. 12 ranking is followed by Italy, Colombia, the United States, Mexico, Uruguay, Switzerland, and Japan, each of whom fell one spot. Canada drops two spots to No. 29. The USMNT has hovered between No. 14 and No. 18 since reaching a high of No. 11 in April-June 2024, its highest ranking since 2021. The three North American countries will host FIFA World Cup games this summer, with Mexico kicking off the tournament on June 11 against South Africa, the US playing Paraguay on June 12 in Los Angeles, and Canada opening against an unknown opponent in Toronto. Cameroon made the biggest jump, rising 12 spots to No. 45, while Equatorial Guinea suffered the biggest drop, falling 10 spots to No. 107. The latest FIFA men's world rankings are as follows: 1.
