A 26-year-old business research analyst, Bethany MaGee, was left severely burned after being attacked on a Chicago metro train on Monday night. Surveillance footage shows Lawrence Reed, a man with a history of criminal offenses, pouring gasoline over MaGee's head and body before setting her ablaze. MaGee, who works for Caterpillar, managed to escape the train and is currently undergoing treatment at Stroger Hospital for burns covering approximately 60 percent of her body. Her condition is expected to keep her hospitalized for at least three months. According to her social media accounts, MaGee is a devoted animal lover, churchgoer, and close family member. Her family has expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and prayers during this difficult time. Reed, identified as a 'lunatic serial criminal,' has been taken into custody by authorities.
