Fortnite, the popular battle royale game, faced a major outage on Sunday, November 30, leaving thousands of players unable to access its Battle Royale and Zero Build modes. Downdetector reported over 3,000 users experiencing issues, with 63% of them citing server connection problems. This comes as the game released its Chapter Seven: Pacific Break, featuring a new Hollywood-inspired map. The outage occurred as players were eager to experience the revamped Battle Royale experience. However, Fortnite Support announced on X that login issues had been resolved, but Battle Royale, Zero Build, Save The World, and Ballistic would be temporarily unavailable during the Yuki's Revenge premiere event, which features an exclusive animated Kill Bill short film collaboration with director Quentin Tarantino. Players took to social media to express their frustration, with many reporting that the Battle Royale option was not available. Tarantino, known for his work on Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, commented on the event, saying that Epic Games approached him with a unique idea that allowed him to create an 8-12 minute short film within the Fortnite world. The Yuki's Revenge event marks a significant collaboration between Fortnite and Tarantino, bringing a new and exclusive experience to players. While the outage was inconvenient for fans, the event promises to be an exciting addition to the game's Chapter Seven: Pacific Break release.
