The family and supporters of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan are raising concerns over his condition in Adiala jail, where he has been held in isolation for nearly a month without access to his family, lawyers, or senior party leaders. PTI Senator Khurram Zeeshan from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa described the situation as a "clear human rights violation" and accused the authorities of pressuring Khan to "accept their terms." However, Zeeshan assured that Khan is alive and being kept in Adiala jail. The situation has sparked rumors of Khan's death, which were fueled by the authorities' refusal to allow his family to meet him despite court orders. Khan's son, Kasim Khan, has appealed to the public and global human rights organizations, alleging that his father has been held in solitary confinement in a "death cell" for six weeks. Khan's sister, Noreen Niazi, also spoke out against the media censorship in Pakistan, claiming that journalists and media owners are being detained and intimidated into silence. She drew a comparison with Hitler's regime, stating that the same kind of oppression is happening in Pakistan. The restrictions on Khan's access to the outside world have been described as deliberate and designed to cut off his access to the public. Not a single picture or video of Khan has been allowed to be released since his imprisonment. The PTI and Khan's family are calling for an end to the "inhumane isolation" and demanding immediate proof of life. They are also urging global human rights organizations and democratic governments to intervene in the situation. The current Pakistani government, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has been accused of election rigging and being weak and oppressive. The situation has sparked growing criticism from Khan's family, PTI leaders, and provincial officials, who describe it as an "undeclared blackout" around the former prime minister's condition in Adiala Jail.
