The administration of Adiala Jail in Pakistan has dismissed speculation surrounding the health and whereabouts of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, amid widespread rumors of his death. In a statement, officials confirmed that Khan had not been transferred from the facility and was in good health, receiving complete medical attention. The clarification comes as Khan's party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, expressed concern over his well-being and sought an official response from the government. The PTI had earlier sought to meet with Khan, who has been imprisoned since August 2023, but was denied access for over a month. Rumors of Khan's death spread rapidly on social media after reports of a violent police crackdown on his supporters and sisters outside the Adiala Jail last week. Khan's sisters, who were protesting over concerns for his health, claimed they were subjected to brutal treatment by police. The sisters, along with other PTI members, camped outside the jail for several days, demanding a meeting with Khan. The Adiala Jail officials have assured that Khan's health is being monitored and that he is receiving proper medical care. The government has yet to respond to the PTI's request for a meeting between Khan and his family.
