A violent mob descended on a wealthy Queens neighborhood in New York City, leaving a couple fighting for their lives and a community demanding action from authorities. According to a viral video posted by New York City Councilwoman Vickie Paladino, a group of reckless drivers were speeding through the streets of Malba late Sunday night, doing donuts and putting lives at risk. When a private security guard attempted to intervene, the mob turned on him, setting his car ablaze. Blake Ferrer, a resident of the area, and his wife were brutally attacked when they tried to remove the unruly group from their property. Ferrer suffered a broken nose and ribs, while his wife was also assaulted. ‘When I came out, I said, "Bro, you gotta get the f*** off my property," and that’s when it all started,’ Ferrer told The New York Post. The incident has sparked outrage in the community, with many calling for increased police presence in the area. Larry Rusch, owner of a security firm, reported that his car was set on fire by the mob, describing the scene as ‘a complete melee.’ While residents have expressed gratitude for the quick response of the police after the incident, they are still waiting for an update on whether any arrests have been made. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the need for effective community policing and public safety measures in the city.
