A tragic update has emerged from the Washington D.C. shooting incident that left two National Guard members injured. Despite the best efforts of medical staff, Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, 20, has sadly succumbed to her injuries. She was shot in the head and chest and passed away on November 27. The condition of Andrew Wolfe, a 24-year-old U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant with the West Virginia Air National Guard, remains critical. He underwent surgery and is currently being monitored closely by medical staff. In an emotional appeal, Wolfe's father, Jason, has asked for prayers for his son's recovery. 'Please pray for my son,' he said. 'He's a great person and a fighter.' Wolfe's mother, Melody, shared an update on her son's condition, stating that the first 24 to 48 hours are crucial in determining the extent of any lasting effects. She also expressed gratitude that Andy is alive and surviving, saying that the first two weeks will be a waiting game. Andrew Wolfe is a personnel and human resources specialist with the 67th Force Support Squadron. He has been recognized for his service with several medals, including the Air and Space Achievement Medal and the Meritorious Unit Award. The National Guard community is rallying around Wolfe as he battles for his life.
