A devastating explosion rocked Pakistan's Peshawar city on Monday, killing at least three security personnel and injuring five others, including three civilians. The blast occurred outside the Federal Constabulary (FC) headquarters at around 8am, when three suicide bombers attempted to storm the facility. According to City Police Chief Mian Saeed, one of the attackers detonated himself at the main gate, while two others entered the premises but were killed in counterfiring. Disturbing CCTV footage shows a guard sitting outside the paramilitary headquarters when a massive blast occurs nearby. The video captures the aftermath of the explosion, with an injured person seen walking inside the gates and several vehicles rushing to escape the scene. While the authenticity of the video could not be independently verified by HT.com, Pakistani authorities confirmed that two blasts were heard near the Peshawar military complex. The explosions triggered panic in the surrounding residential and commercial areas. Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed stated that two suicide explosions took place inside the FC headquarters, one at the main gate and the other near the motorcycle stand. The attack occurred during an assembly at the main compound for the first working day of the week. The incident brings back memories of a similar attack in the past and raises concerns about the ongoing security situation in the region.
