Bangladesh's acting opposition leader, Tarique Rahman, marked his return to the country after 17 years of exile in London. The son of former prime minister Khaleda Zia, Rahman was welcomed by a massive crowd of around 50 lakh supporters in Dhaka, who gathered to hear his address at a rally in the city. Rahman called for peace and unity in the country, urging supporters not to respond to any form of provocation. He also emphasized the need for caution in the face of ongoing unrest. "We must remain patient and exercise caution in these challenging times," Rahman said, according to the Daily Star. "We must not let ourselves be swayed by external forces or internal tensions.
