A 22-year-old Latin singer, Maria de la Rosa, was tragically killed in an ambush-style shooting in the San Fernando Valley, California, early Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Bryant Street in the Northridge area, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Witnesses described seeing two male suspects approach a vehicle parked on the street, firing multiple rounds at several victims inside. Three people were in the car, and all were hit by gunfire. A woman was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The other two victims were reported to be in critical condition. Maria de la Rosa, who had gained a significant following on Instagram with over 40,000 fans, had released a new song 'No Me Llames' just this August. Her latest Instagram post hinted at new music, with a caption that read 'Busy cooking in the studio... It's about that time.' Mexican-American record executive Jimmy Humilde was among those who extended condolences to her fans. The motive behind the fatal shooting is still under investigation, and no arrests have been made as of Monday afternoon. The Los Angeles Police Department is working to identify the two male suspects involved in the ambush.
