Actor Abhinav Shukla has expressed outrage over the death of a 27-year-old software engineer in Greater Noida, criticizing the delayed rescue response and civic lapses. The incident occurred when the victim's car plunged into a water-filled pit after a collision with a construction site wall. In a video shared on social media, Abhinav condemned the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the Fire Department for their inaction, saying it was 'disgusting and shameful' that they failed to save the young boy. He questioned the existence of these departments if they cannot perform their basic duties. The incident unfolded on Saturday when the victim, Yuvraj Mehta, died after nearly two hours of calling for help. The autopsy report revealed that he suffered asphyxia due to ante-mortem drowning, followed by cardiac arrest. The UP government has taken action, removing the Noida Authority CEO and ordering an inquiry. Abhinav also praised a Flipkart delivery person who showed bravery by entering the water to try and rescue the victim. He called for accountability and action, saying that the personnel involved should resign immediately, and the government should re-evaluate the departments' recruitment and training processes. The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with the police launching an FIR against two real estate developers for alleged negligence. The UP government has also set up a special investigation team to look into the matter, which will submit a report within 5 days.
