Bollywood Fraternity Demands CM's Intervention in Rohit Shetty House Firing Probe

A collective voice from India's film and television directors has echoed concern and shock over a recent firing incident outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty's Mumbai home. The Indian Film & Television Directors' Association (IFTDA) has penned a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, urging him to personally oversee the investigation. The incident, which occurred on Sunday morning, saw four rounds fired outside Shetty's residence, sparking fear and insecurity within the industry. Despite no injuries being reported, the IFTDA is worried about the well-being of the respected filmmaker. They have expressed confidence in the Mumbai Police's ability to apprehend the culprits and ensure protection for Shetty and his family. In a related development, five suspects were detained in Pune and handed over to the Mumbai Crime Branch for further investigation. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the crime on social media, but the police has yet to comment on the matter. The IFTDA has called for swift and strict action to prevent such incidents in the future.
