Akshay Kumar's horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla has maintained a steady hold at the box office, crossing ₹72 crore in five days. The film, directed by Priyadarshan, opened to a strong weekend and collected ₹58 crore net in India. It brought in ₹7.65 crore net on Tuesday, taking its domestic total to ₹72.40 crore. Bhooth Bangla has outpaced Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon's Bhediya, which collected ₹35.86 crore in five days. The film is slightly behind Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna's Thamma. Paresh Rawal, who has worked with Akshay and Priyadarshan, spoke about their reunion, praising Priyadarshan's clarity and Akshay's company.
