Fans of the iconic trio have been eagerly awaiting the third installment of Hera Pheri, starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty. However, in a recent interview, Akshay Kumar has dampened hopes by stating that the film is not happening anytime soon.
The film has had its fair share of controversy, including Paresh's sudden exit and a legal tussle over copyright ownership. In an interaction with Subhankar Mishra, Akshay Kumar revealed that the film is currently not on track due to several issues.
When asked about the status of Hera Pheri 3, Akshay Kumar replied, 'Hera Pheri 3 abhi filhaal toh nahi ban rahi (The film is not happening as of now).' He added that the project has several agreements that are hindering its progress.
Akshay Kumar expressed hope that the film will be made when the time is right, saying, 'Apne aap ayega, jab waqt aayega tab ban jaayega. Bas yahi hein ki budhapa na ho jaaye tab tak (It will come on its own time. When the time is right, the film will be made. I hope we are not old by that time)!' The Hera Pheri franchise has a dedicated fan base, and fans are eagerly waiting for the next installment.
