Actor-activist Amala Akkineni recently shared her heartwarming experiences with her 'kodallu' (daughters-in-law), Sobhita Dhulipala and Zainab Ravdjee, on a popular podcast. Speaking to NTV, Amala expressed her gratitude towards both women for bringing joy and love into the Akkineni household after their marriages to Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni. Amala, who was taught Telugu by her mother-in-law, Annapurna, after marrying Nagarjuna, now finds herself in a similar position as the mother-in-law of Sobhita and Zainab. She couldn't help but gush about her daughters-in-law, praising Sobhita's talent and independence, as well as her affectionate nature. Amala also spoke highly of Zainab, describing her as a 'warm human being' who brought a new level of comfort and understanding of Islam into the household. Zainab's presence has helped the family become more sensitive to the needs of a Muslim living in a Hindu home. The Akkineni family has recently experienced double celebrations with the weddings of Chaitanya and Akhil. Chaitanya was previously married to Samantha Ruth Prabhu, while Akhil was engaged to Shriya Bhupal before marrying Zainab. Amala's own upbringing, with a Catholic mother who adopted Sufism and a Hindu father, has influenced her Buddhist practices. The family's diverse background has contributed to their appreciation for different cultures and faiths.
