Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman has shared a glimpse into his harrowing childhood, recalling the daily trauma he witnessed after his father's untimely death when he was just nine. In a recent conversation, Rahman spoke about how his father worked tirelessly to provide for the family, taking on three jobs to secure a home. The musician revealed that his mother, a single parent, played a pivotal role in shielding them from humiliation and hardship. Rahman's father and mother were forced to live on the streets after being abandoned by his family members. Determined to give his children a stable life, Rahman's father worked through the night, often sacrificing his health in the process. This grueling struggle left a lasting impact on Rahman, who remembered seeing his father's frail condition.
