Production house Sun Pictures described Raaka as a collaboration born of the highest ambitions in Indian cinema, aiming to redefine the scale of Indian cinema and affirm its place in global entertainment. The film marks the first collaboration of Allu Arjun with director Atlee and also stars Deepika Padukone. Sai Abhyankkar has composed the music for the film.
With a grand reveal on Wednesday, the makers kept the film's details under wraps prior to the announcement. The film is expected to hit screens in 2027, after Atlee's last directorial, Jawan, which entered the ₹1000 crore club globally within 18 days.
