Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar: The Revenge is not just ruling the box office, it's now affecting other major films' release plans. Akshay Kumar's Bhooth Bangla has been postponed by a week to give Dhurandhar 2 a 'clear, uninterrupted window' in cinemas.
Bhooth Bangla, earlier slated to release on April 10, will now arrive with paid previews starting from April 16. The film's producer Ektaa Kapoor announced the change, stating that the decision was made after extensive discussion with distribution partners and exhibitors.
The note explained that Dhurandhar: The Revenge is enjoying an exceptional run at the box office, collecting over ₹920 crore net in India and more than ₹1,400 crore worldwide in just 14 days.
Bhooth Bangla, a horror-comedy starring Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan, will now release in theatres on April 17, 2026, with paid previews beginning from April 16 at 9 pm onwards.
