Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly has taken a drastic step in her tumultuous marriage with Austrian entrepreneur Peter Haag, filing a case of domestic violence against him in a Mumbai court. According to reports, the case was brought under the Domestic Violence Act, citing allegations of physical and emotional abuse, manipulation, and cruelty. Celina, a former Miss India and Miss Universe runner-up, has sought damages of ₹50 crores to compensate for her loss of income and properties, as well as other financial losses. The couple has three sons together, born between 2012 and 2017. Tragically, one of their twin sons, Shamsher, passed away due to a heart condition in 2017. This latest development comes on the heels of another distressing incident involving Celina's brother, Major (retired) Vikrant Jaitly, who was allegedly detained in the UAE in September 2024. The Indian government has since intervened, providing consular assistance and legal aid to the former army officer, as directed by the Delhi High Court. Celina's decision to pursue a domestic violence case against her husband marks a significant turn in her personal life, as she seeks justice and compensation for the alleged abuse she has suffered. The case is currently under verification and notice, with the court expected to take further action in the coming days.
