The first quarter of the year has come to a close at the box office, and it's been a wild ride. Dhurandhar The Revenge has taken the top spot, with a massive ₹844 cr in earnings. But it's not just Dhurandhar that's been making waves - Border 2 and Mardaani 3 have also been major hits, with ₹329 cr and ₹52 cr respectively. However, not all films have been successful, with O'Romeo underperforming and earning just ₹73 cr. Trade analysts Taran Adarsh and Komal Nahta attribute the success of Dhurandhar The Revenge and Border 2 to their ability to give audiences what they want, rather than just what the filmmakers want to make. They also point out that the success of these films has debunked myths about audience preferences, including the idea that they don't want to watch films with longer runtimes or excessive violence.
According to box office verdict, Ikkis earned ₹32 cr, Vadh 2 earned ₹4 cr, Tu Yaa Main earned ₹7 cr, Do Deewane Seher Mein earned ₹8 cr, Assi earned ₹11 cr, The Kerala Story 2 earned ₹52 cr, and O'Romeo earned ₹73 cr. Dhurandhar The Revenge is still running, with a total of ₹844 cr.
