Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash, has landed in controversy over a graphic sex scene featuring a Brazilian model, Beatriz Taufenbach. In response to mounting criticism, Taufenbach has deactivated her Instagram account. The teaser, directed by Geetu Mohandas, has been accused of promoting obscenity and degrading the dignity of women. The Aam Aadmi Party's women's wing lodged a complaint with the Karnataka State Commission for Women, requesting the removal of the teaser. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has been approached by a social activist and the KSWC, seeking "appropriate action" against the makers of the film. The complaints come as Toxic prepares for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, where it will compete with Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2. Beatriz Taufenbach's sudden disappearance from social media has sparked curiosity about the actress, who was introduced by director Geetu Mohandas as the 'cemetery girl' in the teaser. The film, also featuring Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, and Huma Qureshi, has been produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.
