In a groundbreaking move, Women in Film India (WIF India) has launched an innovative initiative called 'The Resilience Playbook' to support the mental well-being of women in the Indian film industry. Led by wellness practitioner and life coach Chetna Chakravarthy, the six-week workshop series aims to equip female filmmakers with the tools and resilience needed to navigate the challenges of a freelancing career. According to Guneet Monga Kapoor, the founder of WIF India, the initiative is designed to provide a safe space for women to share their experiences and build a supportive network. 'We are an industry built on freelancers, but with that comes uncertainty,' she explained. 'Resilience is the core skill that allows us to endure, adapt, and thrive in this ever-changing industry.' The 'Resilience Playbook' workshop is the first of its kind in India and has been made possible through subsidies and funding support from WIF India. The program aims to empower women to 'choose themselves' and build courage, as per Rabia Chopra, Head of Programmes & Development at WIF India. 'Vulnerability is our sharpest intelligence, and resilience is what we build when we hold each other up,' she added. The launch of 'The Resilience Playbook' marks a significant step towards creating a more supportive and inclusive environment for women in the Indian film industry. As Guneet Monga Kapoor said, 'We're proud to subsidize and match the funding so that this workshop can come to life, and so that Chetna can continue this important work.'
