The casting director of Dhurandhar, Mukesh Chhabra, has clarified the casting decision behind the 20-year age gap between lead actors Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun. Speaking with the Free Press Journal, Chhabra revealed that the age gap was a deliberate choice, in line with the film's narrative. According to Chhabra, the story revolves around Ranveer's character attempting to manipulate Sara's character, and the age gap was essential to convey this dynamic. When asked about the potential concerns surrounding the age gap, Chhabra shrugged it off, stating that it was a necessary aspect of the film's plot. The film's casting director emphasized that the age gap was not a choice based on personal preference, but rather a creative decision aimed at bringing the story to life. Chhabra's comments have sparked renewed interest in the film, which follows the story of an Indian spy infiltrating Pakistan. Dhurandhar boasts an ensemble cast, including Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Rakesh Bedi. The film's second part is set to release in theaters next year, on March 19. Sara Arjun, who has gained recognition for her roles in films like Ponniyin Selvan and Ek Thi Daayan, has reportedly earned a net worth of ₹10 crore in 2022, making her the richest child actor in India. With Dhurandhar, Sara is set to take on a new challenge alongside Ranveer Singh, and fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the film's second part.
