Bollywood Actress Celina Jaitly has filed a domestic violence complaint against her husband Peter Haag in a Mumbai court, alleging years of physical, emotional, and verbal abuse. The case was heard on November 25, 2025, with Judicial Magistrate S. C. Tadye issuing a notice to Peter and posting the matter for hearing on December 12. Celina, a former Miss India and mother of three, has sought ₹50 crore in damages and ₹10 lakh in monthly maintenance. She claims Peter was the first to file for divorce in Austria in August 2025, but she was misled and manipulated during the proceedings. With limited proficiency in the local language, Celina felt 'helpless' in the foreign legal system. The couple's 15-year marriage has been marked by alleged abuse, with Celina detailing an incident where Peter pushed her out of their apartment three weeks after childbirth. Her advocate Niharika described Peter as a 'narcissistic, self-absorbed individual' with a short temper and alcoholic tendencies. Celina also alleges that Peter restricted her from working, effectively cutting her off from professional opportunities and visibility. The couple's children, who are Austrian citizens, are currently living with Peter in Austria, but Celina has been granted one hour of telephonic access to them every day. The case will next be heard on December 12, when Peter is expected to respond to the allegations before the Mumbai court. Celina's lawyer has confirmed that a parallel custody case is ongoing in Austria, alongside the domestic violence complaint in India.
