Bollywood actress and former Miss India, Celina Jaitly, has filed a domestic violence case against her husband, Peter Haag, in a Mumbai court. The 44-year-old actor accused her Austrian husband of physical, emotional, and psychological abuse, citing cruelty and manipulation. According to the complaint filed under the Domestic Violence Act, Celina has sought ₹50 crore in damages and compensation for loss of income and property. Celina and Peter, a successful entrepreneur and hotelier, tied the knot in 2011. They have three children together, including twins Winston and Viraaj, born in 2012, and twins Shamsher and Arthur, born in 2017, with Shamsher passing away shortly after birth due to a congenital heart condition. The couple's relationship began in Dubai, where they met at an event for an Indian fashion brand Celina was endorsing. Celina revealed that she felt an instant connection with Peter, describing it as an 'intense recognition' that left her 'overwhelmed'. However, their marriage has allegedly turned sour, with Celina accusing her husband of domestic violence. The case has been presented before the Judicial Magistrate First Class in Andheri, Mumbai, with the next hearing scheduled for December 12. Meanwhile, Celina is also fighting for the release of her brother, Vikrant, who has been detained in the UAE since September 2024 over an alleged 'national security case'. The court has urged authorities to facilitate communication between the actor and her brother, with the matter set to be heard on December 4.
