In a welcome shift, Indian television producers are now prioritizing the well-being and education of their young stars. Asit Kumarr Modi, producer of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', ensures that his child actors maintain a healthy balance between school and work. 'We take care that their education is never affected,' he says, adding that the show's young cast members receive tuition teachers on set when needed and are given time off during exams. Binaiferr Kohli, another prominent producer, echoes Modi's sentiments. 'Working with child artists is a joyful experience, but it also comes with a sense of responsibility,' she says. 'We ensure that they are never overworked or stressed, and their schooling and personal growth come first.' Several parents of young actors have praised the production teams for being considerate of their children's academic commitments. Deepika Deo, mother of 'Jagriti' actress Asmi Deo, says that the team was 'extremely professional and well-organized', while Bulbul Pandey, mother of 'Kundali Bhagya' actress Swarna Pandey, notes that the makers agreed to her demands to ensure that her daughter's studies didn't suffer. Young actors themselves have shared their experiences, with Akshaan Sehrawat, who recently joined the cast of 'TMKOC', saying that the production team has arranged a small room for him to study on set. Maahi Bhadra, another young actor, adds that the team ensures that he doesn't miss classes and even plays with him on set. These producers and parents are setting a positive example for the industry, demonstrating that child stars' safety and education can be prioritized without compromising their talent or the quality of the show.
