Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh's latest film, De De Pyaar De 2, continued its successful run in theatres over the weekend, but witnessed a predicted decline in collections on its first Monday. According to Sacnilk, the film earned an estimated ₹3.16 crore net in India, bringing its total domestic earnings to ₹37.91 crore. The romantic comedy, directed by Anshul Sharma and produced by T-Series Films and Luv Films, saw a notable surge in collections over the weekend, with ₹8.75 crore on its opening day, ₹12.15 crore on Saturday, and ₹13.75 crore on Sunday. This brings its worldwide earnings to ₹54.25 crore. De De Pyaar De 2 is a sequel to the 2019 film of the same name and follows the story of Ashish (Ajay Devgn) as he navigates his relationship with Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh) and her parents. With a star-studded cast, including R Madhavan and Gautami Kapoor, the film has received positive reviews for its honest portrayal of modern relationships.
