Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has revealed a significant change in her career priorities. After her high-profile exits from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit and Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD sequel, Deepika has expressed that she's no longer drawn to massive budget films. In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar India, she stated that she's now focused on empowering emerging talent and enabling meaningful storytelling. Deepika's decision to step away from big-budget projects comes after her public fallout with Vanga and her removal from the Kalki sequel. The reason behind her exit from Spirit, where she was initially set to star alongside Prabhas, was reportedly due to her demand for a more manageable work schedule as a new mother. The film has since been revamped with Triptii Dimri taking on the lead role. Despite her exits, Deepika remains committed to her upcoming projects. She's set to star alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan in Siddharth Anand's King, scheduled for release in 2026. She'll also be seen in Atlee's untitled film opposite Allu Arjun, which is currently slated for a 2027 release.
