The Delhi High Court has granted Jr NTR's plea for urgent hearing, directing e-commerce and social media platforms to respond to his allegations of identity misuse within three days. Jr NTR had filed a petition in the Delhi HC, seeking protection of his personality rights against unauthorized use of his name, image, and likeness for commercial gain. Represented by Senior Advocate J Sai Deepak, Jr NTR claimed that several platforms were hosting content that infringed upon his rights without consent. The court has treated Jr NTR's lawsuit as a formal complaint under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and has given the platforms three days to respond. A detailed order is expected to be passed on December 22. This development follows a trend of celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, and Nagarjuna, filing lawsuits against identity misuse. Jr NTR's recent projects include the Oscar-winning film RRR, as well as the upcoming film Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel.
