The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to Priya Kapur, the wife of late Sunjay Kapur, to respond to a plea filed by her stepchildren, Samaira Kapur and her brother, seeking an inspection of the original will of their father. The alleged will, worth ₹30,000 crore, has been disputed by the plaintiffs, who claim it's a forgery. Priya Kapur's counsel has described the application as 'bogus and baseless', citing a previous argument that a will can't be deemed fake due to spelling errors. However, the plaintiffs have now questioned the authenticity of the signature, stating that inspection of the original document is necessary to determine its genuineness. The court is also hearing an interim injunction application to restrain Priya Kapur from alienating the children from Sunjay Kapur's assets. Priya Kapur has informed the court that the children have already received ₹1,900 crore from the family trust. The matter will be heard again on December 16.
