The Hindi film industry is witnessing a resurgence of romantic dramas at the box office, with Aanand L Rai's Tere Ishk Mein poised to capitalize on this trend. Starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, the film is expected to make a strong opening weekend, backed by impressive advance booking numbers. According to trade sources, Tere Ishk Mein has already sold over 1.3 lakh tickets for its opening day, translating to a gross collection of ₹3 crore by 4 pm on Thursday. With the day still ongoing, the film is likely to finish with a pre-sale collection of ₹4 crore gross. This success is a testament to the film's positive buzz, despite having lower average ticket prices compared to other big Bollywood releases. Industry insiders predict a strong start for Tere Ishk Mein, with conservative estimates suggesting a net opening of ₹10 crore in Hindi alone and ₹12 crore in all languages on its first day. Some trade pundits are even more optimistic, forecasting a ₹12 crore or more opening in Hindi and above ₹15 crore in all languages. If these predictions hold true, Tere Ishk Mein could earn ₹40-50 crore net in India across all languages in its opening weekend, second only to the blockbuster Saiyaara. This success would mark Dhanush's biggest opening in Bollywood, surpassing his previous record in Raanjhana, which opened at ₹5.60 crore net in 2011. The film is set to release on November 28 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, backed by Bhushan Kumar, directed by Aanand L. Rai, and featuring music by A.R. Rahman.
