Dharmendra Hospitalized: Esha Deol Asks Fans to Pray for His Recovery, Denies Death Rumors

Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra has been hospitalized in Mumbai after complaining of breathlessness. His daughter Esha Deol has addressed rumors of his death, stating that he is stable and recovering. In an Instagram post, Esha requested the media and public to respect the family's privacy and pray for her father's speedy recovery. Dharmendra, a cinematic icon, was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on Monday. His children, including Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol, and Aahana Deol, along with several Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Govinda, visited him in the hospital. A legendary figure in Indian cinema, Dharmendra began his career in 1960 with Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere. He gained prominence in the 1970s with films like Sholay, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, and Seeta Aur Geeta. The actor, known as the 'He-Man of India,' transitioned to supporting roles in the 1990s, appearing alongside his sons in films like Yamla Pagla Deewana and Apne. Besides his successful film career, Dharmendra briefly served as a Member of Parliament from Bikaner from 2004 to 2009 on a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket. He was married twice and had four children, including his sons Sunny and Bobby, and daughters Esha and Aahana.
